Holly: Holly is a graduate student at NYU studying Gender Politics and Library and Information Science. She enjoys reading rss feeds, crocheting and learning new things by reading Poly student's papers. She works as a writing consultant and runs the Conversation Cafe every Friday from 4-5:30. Come and join her, Lexie, Ting and Tina on Fridays for conversation, fun, and treats!

Bill: Bill Gullo received his BA in English/English Education from Syracuse University and his MA in Literature and Writing from the University of New Orleans. Over the years he has taught in colleges, high schools, and after school programs. Now, he splits his time between the education field and his writing career. He is constantly impressed by the Poly students who have the discipline and maturity to improve their writing and language skills.

Shivani: Shivani Manghnani studied writing at Brown University and Columbia
University, where she received her MFA in fiction in 2005. She has
been awarded residencies and grants to support the completion of her
first book from the MacDowell Colony, the Lower Manhattan Cultural
Council, the Urban Artist Initiative/NYC grant program and the
Insituto Sacatar in Brazil. Prior to coming to Poly,she taught in the
English Department at New York City College of Technology.

Denise: Denise Ivanoff, Writing Consultant, has a master's degree in piano and
is a professional piano and voice teacher and vocal
coach/collaborative pianist. She especially likes working with
students who are new to the country. In her free time, she enjoys
going to plays, traveling, photography, playing with web sites and
databases, and spending time with friends. Her guilty pleasures are
Bette Midler and Barbara Streisand!

Ben: Benreceived his BA in English from the University of Iowa and an MFA, with a concentration in poetry, from The Iowa Writers' Workshop. Since graduating from the workshop two years ago, he has worked as a solar power technician in San Francisco, and taught high school English in rural Japan. Ben has just moved to New York City and is excited to work with students interested in things he can't even begin to comprehend--such as math, and chemistry. He is looking forward to meeting with students one-on-one and getting to know them, not only as a student, but as a person.
